Dubai, United Arab Emirates: In the UAE, there has been a phenomenal increase in construction activity with reports indicating that in Dubai alone, there were 3,046 under-construction projects with an estimated value of $118.7 billion. Dubai’s vertical growth in high-rise construction is unparalleled and it is against this backdrop, global conference organizers, Expotrade announced the dates of the fifth edition of the Smart Skyscrapers Summit.
Being held on 23 and 24 April 2018 in Dubai, the event lays emphasis on key project developments, real-world case studies and explores technology advancements in the construction and management of high rise towers in the region.
The summit agenda covers pressing trends with topics ranging from building eco-friendly skyscrapers to intelligent building management systems, importance of cyber security in developing smart skyscrapers to building a smart skyscraper using big data, IoT and AI, fireproof structures to transit management systems, and designing high overall performance facades for tall buildings to promoting energy efficient skyscrapers, amongst many others.
Across two days, over 40 high profile subject matter experts from the UAE and other parts of the world will participate as speakers and panelists. These industry experts along with many others will engage in discussions on topics focusing on evolving role of an architect in designing a skyscraper, enhancing a building’s performance organically with retrofits, modern fireproof structures, skyscrapers & sustainability in an urban environment setting super-tall structures & building a habitat.
