New network device features compact DSL and Seamless standards in wireless networking solutions

Dubai - Siemens Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) launched the new Speedstream 6520 Gateway, featuring flexible connectivity options, step by step configuration support, parental control as well as many other options, making it the ideal choice for wireless network devices.

The new Speedstream 6520 with an integrated ADSL modem exists with Wi-Fi, 10/100 Ethernet & USB connectivity options to provide the solution for almost every subscriber need and interoperates with other 802.11g or 802.11b compliant networks and devices.

Through the use of individual user profiles for every user, the Speedstream 6520 provides multiple market services to fit each user's personal needs and interests, whilst allowing subscribers to protect their family from Internet dangers using parental control features such as site access and time-of-day controls in addition to monitoring and logging capabilities.

Set-up and configuration of the new Speedstream 6520 is facilitated through the initial set-up and user profile configuration, making the network setup simple and effortless minimizing support requirements.

In addition, the SpeedStream Residential Gateway family shares a common software platform, ControlNet providing a consistent human factors experience for different networking requirements. Deploying CPE sharing a common software platform provides more efficient training and technical support resulting in lower service provider costs.

The ControlNet includes a fully customizable interface which enables promotion and branding of broadband services with provider logos, colors and marketing messages. Brand ability provides greater service provider presence with subscribers and helps combat churn.

Another commodity which Siemens CPE had produced for people wanting to link up their PC or notebook to a WLAN without much trouble is the Gigaset USB Adapter 54. Small and compact (88 x 55 x 12 mm) with a 54-Mb/s transmission rate that brings real speed to the net, it is also a practical companion for people on the move, who'll be able to connect to the Internet at any number of WLAN hotspots in cafs, hotels, and airports.
