United Arab Emirates, Dubai- 10th February 2008: SAE Institute Dubai, unrivaled creative media education provider in the fields of Audio Engineering, Digital Animation, Multimedia, Filmmaking and Electronic Music Production, teamed up with Dubai American Academy to conceive an innovative new program for students called 'Dream Week'.
A custom-made program designed to enlighten the high school students with numerous hands on activities planned, bringing together elements of learning and fun in the realm of creative media education. The 'Dream Week' is scheduled to take place between the 2nd April and 6th April 2008 at SAE Institute's Knowledge Village campus.
Mr. Marco Bettelli, Managing Director SAE Asia Pacific and Middle East commented on the new concept by saying, "Inviting Dubai American Academy's secondary school students to our campus and showing them our facilities; and what and how we teach, is the perfect way to encourage them to follow their passions of attaining an education in Creative Media. We have ensured our institute offers students the most advanced and sophisticated equipment and facilities. This, supported by a team of teaching staff with expert industry knowledge, offers the competitive edge students need to be successful in this emerging industry."
Mr. Bettelli continued, "Dream Week is a format that we hope to replicate with many other schools across the nation. We believe that a hands-on introduction to our school offers students the best insight into what we offer. Showcasing the work produced by the students during Dream Week to the parents is yet another way for us to impress those who guide these youngsters on their future careers. We are very much looking forward to this event and are confident of its success."
The 'Dream Week', created and named by SAE Institute, offer Dubai American Academy students the opportunity to realize their dreams of being a rock star, super hero, model in the impressive institute's Green Screen Room. The footage will be accompanied by vocals, music, sound effects and edited to include visual backgrounds to complete the experience. The students will be offered the chance to work with state of the art video cameras, computers in professional editing suites to produce a final DVD, just like the big studios, which each student will take away.
At the end of the Dream Week, SAE Institute will be organizing a screening for all parents showcasing the commitment and hard work of all the students during their time at the school.
With the growing demand for specialised training in media in the Middle East, the SAE Institute identified Dubai as the perfect location to set up a multi-disciplinary learning centre.
