Roads & Transport Authority - Manal Khaled: The Internal Audit Department, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has recently briefed a visiting delegation from the Ministry of Finance in Dubai on its internal audit experience in general, and policies applied in combating fraudulence in particular, as well as the best practices. The visit was made in the context of sharing expertise with the aim of leveraging & aligning business processes with the highest global standards.
Abdullah Al Jawi, Director of Internal Audit, and a host of officials from both parties attended the gathering, which was held at RTA Head Office.
Al Jawwi commended these visits as they contribute to exchanging experience between RTA and external entities, which in turn will enhance the performance and improve the quality of deliverables. The overall outcome will contribute to achieving higher levels of creativity & excellence.
During the event, a visual presentation was made spotlighting RTA's vision, & mission as well as the objectives, core processes and best practices adopted by the Internal Audit Department. The meeting also recapped the role of the Department in diffusing knowledge amongst employees. It shed light on initiatives of the Department including enhancing the internal audit initiative aimed at supporting the monitoring of the environment and bolstering the corporate governance in RTA. The presentation touched on the internal teams set by the Department to assist the development process, various types of quality assessments, distinctive department initiatives, and the internal monitoring support initiative.
The visiting delegation of the Ministry of Finance praised this effective communication, which they say, contributes to realizing the prime objective of the visit i.e. examining the audit policies adopted by RTA.
At the end of the gathering, the two parties engaged in discussions and inquiries aimed to improve the working conditions and deliver better services.
