The Lee Cooper Dubai Desert Rock lists the finest line-up to date
28 February 2007, Dubai: Robert Plant, one creative half at the heart of rock legends Led Zeppelin has been confirmed as the headline act on the second night of Lee Cooper-sponsored Dubai Desert Rock 2007. Despite an all-too-brief reunion with erstwhile songwriting and sparring partner Jimmy Page in the late 90's, Plant has now returned to performing with his own band, The Strange Sensations.
Arguably the biggest rock band of the 70's, Led Zeppelin continues to be cited as a major influence among contemporary songwriters and an inspiration to many a would-be guitar hero.
In addition to the classics from Led Zeppelin's back catalogue, including Stairway to Heaven, Rock n' Roll and Whole Lotta Love, fans can also expect to hear tracks from Plant's extensive solo repertoire.
Plant will be performing the closing set of the two day extravaganza on Saturday 10th March and will be preceded by Dubai Desert Rock's finest line-up to-date, including Iron Maiden, The Prodigy and Incubus.
