Application Integration is Key, Says Microsoft Executive
Dubai, United Arab Emirates
The Middle East region’s businesses are poised to benefit from the advantages delivered by leading-edge IT business software packages implemented by regionally-based solutions providers, according to industry experts.
In fact, the region’s market for globally-proven enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) solutions is “largely untapped,” according to one Microsoft Business Solutions executive.
“Medium to large organizations across the region are increasingly in demand of IT solutions that will enable them to realize their full potential in this new e-business era,” said Chris Harris, Microsoft Business Solutions’ regional director for Middle East
Africa.
“The integration of an organization’s key business applications – distribution, financials, reporting, project accounting, manufacturing, supply chain, sales and marketing, and customer service and support – will become the single-most critical element to its efficient operation. Real e-business cannot happen without this integration, and only locally-implemented solutions, reflecting specific vertical industry knowledge, will enable regional businesses to move ahead, not fall behind,” added Harris.
Harris and other Microsoft Business Solutions experts delivered a full day of insight and strategy to channel partners from across the region at the company’s Annual Partner Summit held this year in Dubai.
The Power of Partnership
Close to 100 certified Microsoft Business Solutions channel sales partners attended the gathering, which culminated in a gala evening recognition ceremony.
Award winners included partners from Egypt (Cairo Software Services), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (CompuSoft, Disclosure), and United Arab Emirates (AFCOMP, Alfaner IT, Fujitsu Services, MDS, Web Masters.)
“The region’s IT business solutions market has vast potential, with most organizations being small to medium-sized, and our relationship with Microsoft allows us to provide them with a combination of world-class technology and our own locally-proven implementation consultancy,” said Bandar Al-Rajhi, managing director of Riyadh-based CompuSoft Co. Ltd.
