The launch was at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Cup Final on Friday.
SMD technology was chosen for the system allowing flexibility in the design of the system, high brightness and 140 degree viewing angle (both horizontal and vertical) giving both the spectators and TV cameras the optimum advertising exposure. 245m of modules were used at the game and each module at 1.024m high.

Based in United Kingdom, ProDisplay's engineers have been designing and developing innovative display products and solutions for over 17 years. The team were involved in the development of the first full color LED screens in the early 1990's.
Over the last 7 years the concentration has been on the design and development of a number of cost effective 'high gain' screen solutions that will work in high ambient light conditions.
This has included development work with a number of new technologies such as plasma PDP panels and liquid crystal displays, but the focus has been on projection screen materials.
The system was also recently used in the Hilal vs. Ittihad match in the King Fahd Stadium Riyadh, and will be a main fixture at most matches throughout the 2007 season.
The system is quite unique in that it can also be stacked to create several Video screens, so when it is not being used at football matches, it can be used at outdoor / indoor events.
ProDisplay Middle East is based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and has been appointing distributors throughout the region to be able to bring these innovative solutions closer to its client base.
