• As local governments and critical infrastructure organizations continue to face rising cybersecurity threats, the new team is keen to deliver industry-leading products and solutions to the region through a channel eco-system that remains dynamic

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Forescout Technologies Inc., the global leader in automated cybersecurity, announced today the appointment of Hassan El Karhani as the general manager for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa region. Also, joining his team is Sam Ismail, the new director.

In this role, Karhani will expand Forescout’s regional presence, drive growth and investment and streamline the company to better serve organizations and government entities who are faced with an ever-evolving threat landscape.

Karhani brings decades of senior management and leadership experience along with a deep understanding of the region’s diverse networking and cybersecurity landscape. He possesses a strong background in networking, networking security, and security automation technologies, and is proficient in developing and implementing strategies that help protect against cyberattacks.

“As the region continues to grow, IT managers, security advisors, and senior decision-makers across governments and organizations are finding it very difficult to cope with a constantly progressing threat landscape,” commented Hassan El Karhani, general manager, Forescout, Middle East, Turkey, and Africa.

“Cybersecurity today is a core business functionality, and as industry-leading security vendors, we must make sure our products and solution offer the best the industry has to offer. The Middle East is comprised of innovative organizations across every industry that have a plethora of new managed and unmanaged devices connecting to the network, including IoT, OT, and IoMT all of which need robust protection and visibility,” added Karhani.

The development and effectiveness of Forescout’s regional channel program remain a top priority for Sam Ismail. Better access to products and solutions along with world-class training is also a key aspect of his blueprint to empower sustainable channel growth.

“Making sure that our products and solutions are readily available and effectively implemented to help protect any network in the region is key. We have to train and empower our channel partners to be able to move quickly, be scalable, and accurately make decisions that will meet any security demand,” said Sam Ismail, director, Forescout Middle East, Turkey, and Africa.

“For us to be successful as a company, we must have channel programs and initiatives that are sustainable in the long term. Customer confidence is only achieved if we have assured our channel partners,” added Ismail.

Ismail brings decades of expertise in enhancing profitability and leading successful teams throughout the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey. He has a global perspective on innovation and diversity and is highly regarded for his exceptional customer and partner relationships, and proficiency in maximizing solution value and business outcomes. Sam has a drive for growth, while also motivating his team, partners, and clients to strive for excellence. Prior to joining Forescout, he held prominent leadership positions in technology-related consulting, services, and sales as well as senior IT management roles at various US companies.

“As we continue to expand globally, the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa region is a key growth area for Forescout. We are elated to have Hassan and Sam step into these roles, as they not only bring a wealth of knowledge but will now add leadership stability to the region. Cybersecurity threats, including attacks on critical infrastructure and advanced supply chain vulnerabilities, are only increasing. Hassan and Sam are now uniquely positioned to provide the region with industry-leading security solutions and expertise in how to manage threats effectively so that our customers can maintain business continuity,” commented Matt Poulton, General Manager & Vice President EMEA.
