Riyadh, Saudi Arabia -29 July 2009, The Oracle Academy and the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), a government organization under the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, have signed an agreement to integrate the Oracle Academy's Advanced Computer Science curriculum into 12 technical colleges. More than 2,000 students are expected to enrol in the programme to help meet the demands of a growing IT sector in Saudi Arabia.
Students who participate in the Oracle Academy develop vital business and technology skills, gaining a competitive advantage as they prepare to enter the global workforce of the 21st century. The Oracle Academy provides students with access to world-class technical curriculum and hands-on experience with Oracle's industry-leading database and middleware software.
Participating colleges will include TVTC faculties from Madina, Tabuk, Damam, Abha, Jazan, Ahsa, Taif, Kharj, Najran, Burayda and Hail. The Oracle Academy currently supports more than 28,000 students in 45 institutions across Saudi Arabia. Globally, the Oracle Academy supports more than 850,000 students in 91 countries.
