Al Kharusi: An initiative to add more value to Omantel services and enhance customer experience

Muscat, 23rd November 2013 - In line with Omantel's continuous efforts to provide best value and enhance customer experience, Omantel, the leading provider of integrated telecommunications services in the Sultanate, announced the launch of its most rewarding loyalty initiative', the Makasib' program. The program is designed to enhance customer experience by offering customers  the opportunity to benefit from a diverse range of rewards and benefits through earning points with usage of any Omantel mobile, fixed line, and internet services. These points can then be exchanged for rewards and benefits that best suit each customer's needs individually.

The launch of Makasib program comes in line with the company's strategy to offer its customers with unmatched customer experience. The program has been designed to add more value to our services while at the same time offering customers the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of benefits through the points that they will earn from using any Omantel service. Customers can then redeem these points for free on-net and international calls, free on-net and International SMS, free mobile broadband usage, bill discounts, free Hayyak credit in addition to cash vouchers from partners in the country".

How to enjoy Makasib ....

"All Omantel costumers are invited to join Makasib by dialing the short code  *224# and following the simple instructions or sending an SMS with the word "Makasib" or "M" to 91224 . After registration, customers will start earning Makasib and Status points for every 100 Baisa they spend on any Omantel service. The status points, which are valid for one year, determine the membership status: Sliver, Gold, or Platinum. Upon joining the program, customers will be automatically enrolled to Silver Status and will start earning one Makasib and one Status point for every 100 Baisa they spend. Once a customer has accumulated 3,000 Status points, the customer will be upgraded to Gold. Here, the customers will receive 50% bonus Makasib points for every 100 Baisa they spend. When a customer has collected 12,000 Status points, the customer membership will be upgraded to Platinum and will start receiving 100% bonus Makasib points for every 100 Baisa they spend." He added.

Makasib points earned from postpaid Mada, fixed line, and home broadband services will be awarded with once the monthly bill payments are made while points earned with Hayyak will be awarded based on the actual amount used. Customer can redeem their Makasib points by dial *224# from their mobile phone or the online services on the Omantel website www.omantel.om.
