Muscat, 22 April 2012 - Nawras, Oman's customer friendly telecommunications provider, has introduced a new WiFi Extender to enhance the wireless internet service enjoyed by its growing base of broadband customers.

This simple WiFi Extender strengthens the signal and connectivity to give an extended level of broadband internet service. Portable, compact and easy to use, the unit is simply plugged directly into any electrical socket.  After pressing the 'WPS' button on the existing modem or router and doing the same on the WiFi Extender, the quick setup is complete. This small unit (which looks like an electrical adaptor) is compatible with both fixed and mobile routers and modems.

Customers with an older style router or modem should follow the four simple steps shown in the quick set up guide on the company's website at www.nawras.om to activate their WiFi Extender.

Fahmy Al-Ruwahy, Nawras Device Manager, said, "We listen to our customers to provide solutions to meet their needs and exceed expectations. Wireless signals can become weaker the further away the customer is from the main router and at times, the geographical location or design of building, can affect the signal. Where this is the case, the WiFi Extender will strengthen the connection and maintain excellent coverage."

Al-Ruwahy explained that the new product brings Nawras one step closer to realising its commitment to offering the highest levels of customer-friendly technology and further increase customer satisfaction.

The Nawras WiFi Extender is now available for only 12 Omani Rials from all 27 Nawras stores across the Sultanate.  Sales Champions are on hand to answer any questions and provide assistance.

Nawras, a Qtel Group company, offers a wide range of modems and WiFi solutions for mobile and home broadband, with pleasingly different packages tailored to suit different price ranges and usage needs. More information on all products and services can be found in store or online by visiting www.nawras.om.  Customers can also get help at any time by sending a free SMS with the keyword Nawras to 1500.
