Bringing with him a wealth of experience

Global Investment House (Global), a regional asset management & investment banking firm headquartered in Kuwait with offices in major capital markets in the MENA region, announced today that the Capital Markets Authority of Kuwait has approved the appointment of Mr. Hareb Masood Al-Darmaki as a board member representing NCH Ventures. 

Mr. Al-Darmaki, a UAE national, brings with him a wealth of experience spanning for more than 40 years in the investment and asset management industries in the region international markets. He has been with Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) since 1976 and is currently the Advisor - Managing Director's office. During his career he served on the board of several regional and international organizations including Arab Banking Corporation, Q-Tel (Ooredoo), Abu Dhabi Investment Company and Abu Dhabi Securities Market, among others. He is currently the chairman of Gulf Capital, board member of AXA Green Crescent Insurance Company and a member of several investment and strategy committees.

He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Political Science from Bristol University in the United Kingdom, and a Master's Degree in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University, USA.

Mr. Hisham S. Al-Otaibi, Chairman of the board of Global Said: "We welcome Mr. Al-Darmaki to the board of directors at Global and I'm confident that his wealth of experience and track record will be valuable to the company."

It is worth noting that Mr. Al-Darmaki has been named by NCH Ventures to replace Mr. Ibrahim Saad who has recently submitted his resignation. Mr. Al-Otaibi concluded: "I would also like to express our appreciation to Mr. Saad for his contribution to the company's board of directors during the past three years and wish him all the best in his career."
