Government Leaders Program participants tackle US perception of Dubai as well as the emirate's future prospects
Mohammed Bin Rashid Programme for Leadership Development (MBRPLD), an innovative leadership program designed to develop future national leaders capable of promoting the sustainable development of Dubai, has announced that it has recently launched Dubai Policy Watch Forum, which is one of the periodic activities under its Government Leaders Program. The Forum has been designed to help participants create development plans, while it also provides a global perspective of Dubai's government policies, industrial and other sectoral performance, and the activities of local and multinational companies. The Forum also tackles various challenges and opportunities faced by incumbent and future leaders of the society.
The inaugural session of Dubai Policy Watch Forum was graced by Duke Corporate Education CEO Kim Taylor-Thompson, one of the world's leading figures in the area of leadership development who served as keynote speaker of the event. The Forum generated strong interest from the participants of the Government Leaders Program, a level of MBRPLD, who actively participated in the open discussions and Q&A session of the event.
"Mohammed Bin Rashid Programme for Leadership Development has successfully unveiled a series of new activities that have been designed to help mould the leadership character of the participants of the Government Leaders Program. Among the topics tackled during the Forum were 'How Dubai is perceived in USA,' and 'Where is Dubai today and what challenges or opportunities lay ahead?' Participants of the Government Leaders Program had lively interactions with the keynote speaker, while a Q&A was also held during the event, which gave participants the opportunity to discuss thoroughly and analyse further various issues affecting different sectors.
Government Leaders Program aims to establish a new breed of elite, talented individuals with distinguished potentials, knowledge, skills and experience at all departments of Dubai Government. Candidates undergo a 24-month training with emphasis on the four major areas of personal development, technical knowledge, management acumen and leadership development.

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Program for Leadership Development (MBRPLD) is an innovative leadership program designed to develop future national leaders capable of promoting the sustainable development of the United Arab Emirates. The long-term training program, initiated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, consists of four programs: Young Leaders, Promising Leaders, Government Leaders, and the Director General Majlis Program.
