Turkish Superstar Gaye Turgut will grace the festival as the guest of honour

Mazagan Beach and Golf Resort, the leading tourism destination in Morocco, will host on Saturday 25th March 2017, the sixth edition of ‘Caftan Mazagan’ organised by the association - Mains Blanches in partnership with Mazagan Beach and Golf Resort, and under the patronage of Ministry of crafts, social and solidarity economy in Morocco. Highlighting the rich heritage of the Moroccan traditional dresses and witnessing participation of some of the most famous designers, the event is a testimony of the successful past editions.
This year’s edition of ‘Caftan Mazagan’ will attract coveted celebrities as Turkish Superstar Gaye Turgut, who is also the guest of honour for the event. In addition, the traditional haute-couture festival will also be graced by popular Moroccan stars such asEKO, Najat Rajoui, Khawla Ben Amran, Sanaa Marahati and the famous TV star Samira Al Beloui.
“Once again, our partnership is renewed with the association Mains Blanches to organise Caftan Mazagan Festival. While the past editions have witnessed phenomenal success due to its unique and innovative approach, we are confident that this year the festival will spell better success. We are working relentlessly towards achieving our goal of making this edition of ‘Caftan Mazagan’ Festival bigger and better than ever,” said Khadija El Idrissi Director of Communication and Public Relations at Mazagan Beach and Golf Resort.
“’Caftan Mazagan’ is an event that brings to focus the sublime beauty of the traditional Moroccan dress. It highlights the origins and methods used in creating the designs of the traditional wear and emphasises their role in supporting the tourism and culture in Morocco. The Moroccan heritage is unique; it has rich history blended with contemporary fine-lines, which makes it popular, not only among Moroccans, but also among Arabs and citizens from all around the globe. The festival goal comes in line with Mazagan Beach and Golf Resort’s strategy to encourage tourists and visitors to explore the beauty of Morocco,” continued Khadija El Idrissi.
Some of the renowned Moroccan designers are scheduled to participate at the event, including Hassan Bouchikki, Nawal Laaghzawi, Rabiaa Ait-Cheikh, Amine Mourchid, Zahra Yaqoubi, Karima El Alaawi, and Ghariba Jouhari, founder of the association Mains Blanches. All the designers will offer their best traditional creations -designs that represent not only the Moroccan culture, but also the fine-taste and contemporary luxurious approach reflecting the progress of the country.
