Dubai, UAE - July 6, 2008 - Linksys®, a Division of Cisco, the leading provider of VoIP, wireless and networking hardware for consumers and small business environments, announced the release of the Linksys by Cisco RangePlus Wireless Router (WRT110).

The new RangePlus Wireless Router is the size of a small paperback book and fashions a sleek slim design in a black-pearl color.

The Linksys by Cisco WRT110 provides high-speed and long-range wireless networking. It has a MIMO smart antenna technology that captures faint signals for extended range and reduced dead spots. The new device is not only much faster than Wireless-G when connected to RangePlus or Wireless-N, but also works great with Wireless-G and -B devices. It also has advanced wireless security with Wi-Fi Protected Access™ (WPA2).

The Linksys RangePlus technology is a single stream N technology, to increase range and deliver faster wireless network throughput 802.11g products. Next to this it also reduces dead spots in the wireless coverage area in the home.

With the Linksys RangePlus Wireless Router at the center of a home network, consumers can share a high-speed Internet connection, files, printers, and multi-player games, as well as run media-intensive applications such as video, without the hassle of running wires all over the home.

As with every new Linksys router this model also comes with LELA (Linksys EasyLink Advisor), a clever digital assistant who explains how to set up the router and arrange your home network. LELA also helps to keep the network up and running and secure. It tells you when things go wrong and explains what to do.  It provides you with an image of your network, showing you all your connected devices and connections - regardless of brand or make.

The Linksys by Cisco RangePlus router and adapter are now available from authorised distributors and retailers. The manufacturer's sales recommended price of the WRT110 is US$79.
