KPMG in Bahrain’s Tax partner, Philippe Norre, was recently listed as an Bahrain’s only “Highly Regarded” Tax practitioner in the 2020 edition of World Tax, a comprehensive guide to leading tax firms and professional worldwide. Produced in association with the International Tax Review, it provides rankings and profiles of highly recognized tax practitioners in the world, covering more than 50 jurisdictions across every continent.
This milestone represents a prestigious industry recognition of Norre’s efforts in leading and expanding the Tax practice at KPMG in Bahrain and adding value to businesses across the Kingdom. He joined the firm in 2017, deploying now more than 27 years’ experience in Tax, Tax Compliance and Tax Technology to the local business community. The Tax team at KPMG Bahrain is now the most experienced team in the Kingdom with the highest level of Bahraini Tax professionals who work alongside highly skilled expats and each of them not only covering all local and international taxes but with also deep industry experience and tailored expertise in Tax technology and now in Tax Compliance through KPMG Bahrain’s Tax Compliance Centre, where Norre’s knowledge and business acumen from leading Compliance centres and offerings in Europe and across the World turns Tax compliance towards an opportunity for Bahraini businesses of all sizes, not just addressing a risk.

He has also advised companies and authorities on VAT and indirect taxes in Australia, India, Hungary and Armenia. This is in addition to serving as the personal advisor to the first Hungarian EU Commissioner for taxation.
