Speaking about the achievement, Ashraf Daoud, general manager of AbbVie in Saudi Arabia, said, “Winning this award is testament to the dedication and unwavering commitment of our team at AbbVie. Inspiring future Saudi pharmacists to join the private pharmaceutical sector has been a core focus for AbbVie since we started our operations in the Kingdom five years ago. We are extremely proud of our partnership with King Saud University and our on-going work in training current and aspiring Saudi pharmacists to support the Government in their journey towards achieving Vision 2030.”

As part of AbbVie’s commitment to training Saudi pharmacists, AbbVie hosts a yearly Pharma Training programs especially tailored for Saudi pharmacy students and recent graduates. It helps them in building the practical experience in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as building a broad talent base prepared to meet the needs of Saudi Arabia’s dynamic healthcare market.

Hanan Almanea, a current pharmacy student from King Saud University, commented, “AbbVie stood out compared to other companies because of its captivating and engaging content.  As an upcoming pharmacist, the training was extremely helpful in bringing to life what awaits me when I graduate and reinforcing the remarkable impact pharmacists can have on patients’ lives.”
