Dubai, January 4, 2005: Jumbo Electronics LLC today announced the launch of Sony's new Grand WEGA, a LCD projection TV, incorporating a wide range of innovative technologies and a stylish design. Employing the combined ingenuity of Sony's latest 3LCD technology with the exclusive WEGA Engine, Sony's new Grand WEGA produces richer and superior quality that sets these televisions apart from others in the market The Grand WEGA will be available in all key Jumbo outlets during DSF 2005

Alongside the launch of the Grand WEGA, Jumbo Electronics also showcased the recently launched 61-inch Plasma TV and now boasts of an extensive line-up of flat-panel displays available in the region.

Available in 42-inch (KF-WE42), 50-inch (KF-WE50) and 60-inch (KF-WS60) screens, the Grand WEGA features a slim-line, futuristic design and perfect viewing from wide angles. These revolutionary technologies in rear projection televisions point the way forward in industry trends and consumer demands.  

The Grand WEGA features the unique 3LCD Technology, one for each RGB signal. The result is a highly detailed picture quality with brilliant, clear and natural colors. With Sony's proprietary WEGA Engine, viewing quality is even further enhanced.  Beautiful and true-to-life picture quality is engineered through this intelligent picture enhancement system which integrates a host of unique technologies and circuitry, enabling full, precise digital image processing.  Fully compatible with analogue and digital broadcasts, DVD, Memory Stick and other input signals, images appear stunningly realistic, with amazing detail and sharpness, reduced noise, enhanced clarity, and improved depth and contrast.

The Grand WEGA Series comes with a built-in Memory Stick slot, allowing users to view JPEG images and MPEG-1 movies directly on the TV screen.
