Jean-Louis moves to become CEO AXA Japan and member of the AXA Group Executive Committee
AXA Group has announced the appointment of Jérôme Droesch as CEO AXA Gulf. He was previously Regional CEO for the South-West region of AXA France. He replaces Jean-Louis Laurent Josi, who has now been appointed CEO of AXA Japan and also appointed as a member of the AXA Group Executive Committee.
Jérôme Droesch has been with the AXA Group for almost 20 years and has held several commercial, operational and managerial positions in the French regions and Paris. In 2003, he was appointed P&C Insurance Organization Director in France before taking the lead of the sales and distribution direction for the French West Region in 2005. He became Regional CEO for the South-West French region in 2008.
Commenting on his appointment, Jerome said, "I am excited by the new opportunity presented to me by the group. The Gulf region presents a rich and diverse landscape with countries that are financially solid and developing at a fast pace. Under the leadership of Jean-Louis, the team at AXA Gulf has built a strong base and has weathered the economic crisis well. I embrace the new task ahead of taking AXA Gulf to the next level of growth and expansion."
Commenting on his move and appointment Jean-Louis said "AXA Gulf has achieved a lot in the last couple of years. The company offers a unique claims service, provides compelling product attributes and has used the economic crisis to spend on improving its service standards, investing in talent and training and buying IT solutions to improve the back office operations. All of these improvements provide a backbone to offering competitive benefits and high quality service to our customers and partners."
Jérôme Droesch's official date of joining was February 10th 2011.
