Edbiz Consulting is pleased to announce the second IFLP to be held in Kuala Lumpur. The concept of the IFLP was developed after carefully assessing the needs of the Islamic banking and finance industry as it moves rapidly into the international growth phase of its development. The inaugural programme was held in September 2013 in Leicester, UK, attended by CEOs of Islamic banks, successful entrepreneurs, middle and senior management from banks and financial institutions. The mentors included a blend of Islamic economists, academicians, bankers and senior practitioners. The keynote speech was delivered by world renowned research scholar and economist Professor Khurshid Ahmad.
Dr Amat Taap Manshoor CEO, Financial Accreditation Agency (FAA) was effusive in his praise. "I appreciate the incredible work IFLP is doing, especially the collaborative world created by attendees. It was valuable and impressive and just as inspiring as it develops an advanced understanding of the complexity of Islamic Finance and Management including its moral, legal and regulatory framework and Shari'a compliancy process". Further, Muhammad Shaheed Khan, VP, Gulf International Bank commented "One of the best leadership programme I have attended specially tailored for Islamic Finance" .
The tailored programme prepares the next generation of leaders in Islamic banking and finance, equipping them with the tools needed to succeed by providing them with unique mentoring opportunities.
The IFLP invites 35 men and women in Islamic banking and finance, holding middle and upper middle management positions, to the headquarters of Bank Islam - the oldest Islamic bank in Malaysia - for 4 days. Attendees will not only learn from the experience and expertise of existing leaders in Islamic banking and finance but will have the opportunity to engage, network and ask questions in a very comfortable yet professional environment. There are special sessions giving attendees the opportunity to be interviewed by CEOs of banks. Here attendees will get the chance to find out what CEOs are looking for when hiring talent, who will also provide them with insightful tips and strategies in dealing with high pressure situations. Awards will be presented to five successful attendees who according to the mentors show the traits and desire to lead the industry forward.
"IFLP aims to recognise and identify potential leaders in Islamic banking and finance. We believe through this programme we can develop tomorrow's leaders in the industry, and ensure the future of the industry is in able hands" said Professor Humayon Dar, Chairman Edbiz Corporation.
