Tunisia, TN.- In contrast to the speech given by the president of the United States, Donald Trump, the African continent represents an interesting destination for business and foreign trade, said Martin Rodriguez Sanchez, President of the International Business Council (ICBC-COINE) within the framework of the First African Economic Forum held in Tunisia.
"The COINE is in Tunisia because it has visualized the continent great economic potential, since it is no coincidence that in 10 years (2006-2016) there was an annual growth of 3% in the trade balance between Mexico and Africa; In addition, exports doubled, which went from 460 to 857 million dollars ".
Martín Rodríguez shared that the presiding Council has been developing a timely follow-up to business and trading relations with the African continent through its link with the African Business Council, chaired by the Tunisian Amor Belkhiria.
"We find ourselves in the best moment to strengthen relations and commercial links with Africa, especially due to the instability experienced by the modernization process of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the statements made by Donald Trump, which have discredit the economic potential of some regions. "
The CEO of the international consultancy “Join Business Global Group” (JBGG) said that the presence of COINE in Tunisia will strengthen the political-business ties to open new channels, and this will also allow to consolidate Mexico as a commercial bridge between Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean. "
"From COINE we call on the Private Initiative (PI) to turn to see the African continent, since it has the necessary conditions to do business and attract investment, for example Tunisia which has a strategic position with regard to Europe; In addition, there are nations with great economic potential such as South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, Libya, Algeria, Morocco, Angola, Ethiopia just to mention a few.
