New offerings simplify and automate management of virtualized and cloud-based services
Dubai, UAE June 16, 2010 - HP today announced new management solutions to help clients embrace hybrid delivery models, which span on-premise, off-premise, physical and virtual environments, enabling faster time to market and increased agility from application investments.
Hybrid delivery models that are incorrectly managed can increase complexity, risk and costs, which can quickly reverse any gains for organizations seeking to adopt them.
New HP solutions enable IT teams to effectively manage the performance and availability of all applications in the same way, irrespective of where they are running. The offerings include advances in the company's industry-leading automation and management platforms, test data management and software services.
HP Business Service Management 9.0
HP Business Service Management (BSM) 9.0 improves IT operations by enabling staff to effectively manage application performance and availability to meet service-level agreements. HP BSM 9.0 provides the industry's first run-time service model, which updates the complete run-time environment of the application service, whether the application is running in an on-premise, off-premise, physical or virtual environment. This ensures operations staff can know the most accurate view of their IT services, which dramatically reduces user impact and time to troubleshoot.
The HP BSM 9.0 portfolio includes HP Business Availability Center 9.0 (BAC), HP Operations Manager i 9.0 (OMi) and HP Network Management Center (NMC) 9.0.
HP Test Data Management
HP Test Data Management (TDM) automates the process of obtaining test data from live applications. This automation better reflects production environments and reduces the risks associated with the eventual deployment of applications. HP TDM also lowers costs associated with application testing, reduces project delays and ensures sensitive data does not violate compliance regulations.
New HP software services
HP also announced new service offerings designed to help clients drive the maximum value from their software investments.
HP Solution Management Services (SMS) is a converged portfolio of software support and consulting services that helps clients simplify their environments and maximize adoption of their Business Technology Optimization (BTO) and Information Management (IM) software investments. New offerings include expanded support for custom and third-party integrations and proactive services such as patch management and release upgrade planning for both HP and third-party software.
"Organizations need to be able to quickly embrace hybrid delivery models for applications to grow and innovate effectively," said Mounir Mahmoud, Software Director, HP Middle East. "With HP, clients reap the benefits of these new models without the associated risks."
