Dubai :– Hong Kong and the UAE have enjoyed robust bilateral trade relations on a range of products and services over the years. Adding to the Hong Kong’s business advantages, Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) gathers the latest market intelligence and form partnerships to develop business for corporations. The HKTDC organises more than 30 exhibitions in Hong Kong every year. Eleven of the trade fairs are the largest marketplaces of their kind in Asia, of which electronics, jewellery, gifts, watches, clocks and lighting are the world’s largest.
Mr Daniel Lam, Regional Director, Middle East & Africa, HKTDC, announced today that that nine international fairs, which cover watches and clocks, fashion, electronic products, lighting products, green products and optical products, will be held in Hong Kong from September to November. These fairs will serve as ideal platforms for traders and suppliers from the UAE to expand their businesses into new markets. The fairs are as below:

“The HKTDC’s some 30 fairs attracted over 39,000 exhibitors and over 770,000 visitors from all over the world in 2018/2019.” Mr Daniel Lam said. He looked forward to welcoming more corporations in the United Arab Emirates to explore business opportunities and tap into global markets through HKTDC exhibitions. He also highly encouraged all buyers, distributors and retailers from the UAE to come to Hong Kong for sourcing.
The UAE is Hong Kong's 17th largest trading partner. Until May 2019, the total trade value between the two places reached USD 4.6 billion. In which, the UAE was Hong Kong’s 14th major export market with a total export value of USD 2.74 billion and 17th largest import source with an import value of USD 1.86 billion.
HKTDC Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair
3-7 September 2019
The HKTDC Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and the concurrent Salon de TE will be open during 3-7 September 2019 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). The Watch & Clock Fair is expecting over 840 exhibitors from 22 countries and regions.
Pageant of Eternity at the Watch & Clock Fair displays premium and high-end collection of exquisite finished watches from around 160 exhibitors. Other exhibiting categories consist of “Complete Watches”, “Clocks”, “Machinery & Equipment”, “OEM Smart Watches”, “Packaging”, “Parts & Components” and “Trade Services”.
“Salon de TE” gathers around 140 prestigious watch brands and designer collections in five themed zones. World Brand Piazza being the spotlight features limited editions and rare timepieces from 13 international renowned brands.
CENTRESTAGE
4-7 September 2019
CENTRESTAGE will take place from 4-7 September at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The show becomes talk of the town attracting exceptional fashion brands, designers, buyers, media and fashionistas. The event will showcase about 240 local and overseas brands.
About 20 fashion shows will be held during CENTRESTAGE. On the first evening (4 Sept), the large-scale opening gala fashion show, CENTRESTAGE ELITES, will spotlight two top fashion designers for the first time to present their pre-spring 2020 collections on global runway, including Anais Mak from Hong Kong’s brand ANAÏS JOURDEN and Joseph Altuzarra from American brand ALTUZARRA. The renowned Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers’ Contest (YDC) 2019 will be held on 7 September as the finale of CENTRESTAGE.
The Centrestage will feature Meet the Visionaries Series and Trend Talk Series focusing on upcoming fashion trends. Fashion Summit (HK) 2019, a large-scale summit in Asia on fashion sustainability, will be held concurrently under the theme “Achieving the Goals”. The final day of CENTRESTAGE, titled “OPENSTAGE”, will open to public free of charge.
HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition)

The 39th HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and the 23rd electronicAsia will be held concurrently at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 13-16 October 2019 gathering more than 4,300 exhibitors from across the globe, representing the world’s largest electronics marketplace to showcase a wide variety of intelligent products, innovative start-up ideas and electronic components.
A session titled ‘Tech Hall’ will showcase tech-savvy products in six thematic zones: 3D Printing, Robotics & Unmanned Tech, Smart Tech, Virtual Reality, Startup and the newly launched AI & Voice Recognition. The Startup zone will feature international start-ups to present their innovations ranging from Apps, smart home products, wearable electronics, Internet of Things (IoT), heath electronics and more. A series of events will be arranged to provide an ideal platform for start-ups to present ideas, which include pitching, “Startup, Smart Launch”, sharing, mentoring and investment matchmaking sessions.
The popular Hall of Fame will present stylish products from more than 560 international renowned brand names. Other themed zones include i-World, Wearable Electronics, Healthcare Electronics, Audio Visual Products, Personal Electronics and many more.
On 14 October, the Symposium on Innovation & Technology will be staged under the theme of “Intelligent Connectivity”, featuring international speakers from renowned brands and enterprises to share insights on 5G, AI, IoT, immersive content, digital wellness, smart home and more.

The 21st Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) will be staged from 27 to 30 October 2019 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo will also see its fourth edition from 29 October to 1 November 2019 at the AsiaWorld-Expo. The two lighting events expect close to 3,100 exhibitors from around the world. The Outdoor & Tech Light Expo showcases lighting products by various applications to facilitate sourcing for buyers.

The 27th edition of the Hong Kong International Optical Fair gathers over 810 exhibitors from over 20 countries and regions to showcase the latest design trends and eyewear products, providing a one-stop marketing and sourcing platform for the industry.
The Brand Name Gallery, one of the highlights of the fair, features around 230 international renowned brands.
