Outlets record unprecedented growth in a booming neighbourhood

Al Ain, UAE, 2 August 2015: Hili Mall, Al Ain city's biggest community shopping centre, welcomed more than double number of visitors in 6 months this year, compared to the same period in 2014. About 1,300 nearby apartments are benefiting from the mall's offerings for their daily needs, which is encouraging more brands to set up presence in the mall.

Hili Mall, which has already rented 90% its total gross leasable area with 76% in operation, has altered the timing of its shops to fit with everyone's schedule. The mall, which is open usually from 10am to10pm, collaborated with brands like Starbucks and Fitness First to open earlier at 7am, La Brioche at 8am, and Jamaica Blue at 9am. Moreover, Géant Hypermarket opens daily from 9am to 1am in response to demand for daily needs in the booming neighbourhood.

"Since inception, it has been exciting times for Hili Mall. The location of outlets catering to daily needs near the main entrances has given the surrounding community quick and easy options for daily conveniences," says Khalid Shraim, General Manager of Hili Mall. "We have been monitoring tenants' satisfaction levels and have received highly positivefeedbackin the past 6 months."

"Our strategy to bring shopping and entertainment under one roof has proved to be effective, as the number of families coming into the mall has doubled. Many of them even prefer the mall overweekend visits to other emirates, which is a very good sign for us at Hili Mall," added Shraim.

The three-storey, 323,000-square-foot shopping centre is the city's biggest community mall and features around 120 retail outlets. Some of the mall's tenants are new entrants to the market. Around 20 per cent of the mall space is dedicated to food and beverage, boasting brands many of them are exclusive newcomers to Al Ain including the Italian restaurant Pizzaro, the upscale burger concept Burger Hood, the Indian restaurant Biryani Pot, Doner Kebab, Reem Al Bawadi, and Jamaica Blue. In addition, Solidaire restaurant brand, which was originally created in Hili Mall, is offering in this outlet the same 5 star hospitality experience with half price compared to any other outlets of its own across the country.

Other brands which gained wide reputation among the multinational community in the UAE is also available in Hili Mall like Arabian Oud and Abdul Samad Al Qurashi.

"Hili Mall has grown into one of the busiest destinations in Al Ain, thanks to its location right in the centre of the Hili district, with proximity to other parts of the UAE and neighboring markets such as Oman," concluded Shraim.
