Dubai, 29 January, 2006: GE Security made its regional debut at the Middle East's leading exhibition and conference for commercial security, Intersec Dubai 2006 today. It is the first time that GE's core electronic security offerings, Enterprise Solutions, Aritech, and other products are displayed under one roof alongside its recent major security acquisitions of Edwards, VisioWave, InVision and IonTrack (Homeland Protection), as a consolidated Middle East operation.
"Participation in Intersec 2006 is a significant step for GE Security which is expanding its regional presence at a rapid pace. It is an excellent opportunity to showcase GE's wide-ranging technological solutions in response to the growing demand across the region," said Bassem P. Fakhry, Region Leader for GE Security in the Middle East.
"The region is experiencing unprecedented growth across all sectors and the need to safeguard people, assets and facilities is greater than ever before. We are committed to being closer to our customers and effectively supporting their own growth plans by bringing the widest range of advanced electronic security solutions to the table," added Fakhry.
GE is showcasing its greatly expanded portfolio of security equipment at the three-day event and on the final day (31 January), will hold a full-day seminar to discuss a selected range of products and services, recent industry trends and product developments and other topics of interest. The seminar, presented by a number of GE specialists from its European headquarters and the region, will focus mainly on technical aspects of GE Security solutions most relevant to Middle Eastern markets. It will also describe briefly the new and growing regional presence of GE Security and what that will mean for its customers and business partners.
