Jacky's Gulf exceeds expectations at the 12th Sign and Graphic Imaging

Jacky's Gulf FZE has seen an increase in demand from companies in the GCC opting to buy environment friendly large format printers during the recent Sign and Graphic Imaging 2010 in Dubai.

As an authorised reseller of HP industrial and commercial printers in the Gulf Region, Jacky's Gulf sold more than AED5.5 million or US$1.5 million of HP Latex Ink-based and UV printers including sales of HP Designjet L25500, HP Designjet L65500, HP Scitex XL1500 and HP Scitex FB950 to customers in the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Bangladesh.

"We have exceeded our expectations for this year's Sign and Graphic Imaging, considered as the biggest Signage Exhibition in the Middle East. As the first event in 2010, we have received good business deals which indicated a better year in terms of business value and investment growth," said Ashish Panjabi, Chief Operating Officer, Jacky's Group of Companies.

"During the exhibition, HP showed its dominance with its Latex Ink technology as one of the highlights of the show. Since HP is the only brand that offers this technology, we have seen customers who have been using competitor brands migrating to HP this year in order to remain industry leaders and be kept abreast with the latest large format printers in the market.

"Some of our end customers, mostly from the printing houses and who put their investments on hold last year, have decided to buy new equipment due to the increasing demands from their customers. Furthermore, the cost of printing is becoming more efficient with the launch of new technology such as Latex and UV-Flatbed printers and they need to adopt and manage their cost of productions as well," he added.

Requirements have also increased for the UV-Flatbed printers particularly for the HP Scitex FB950 which resulted in repeat orders and interests from Jacky's clients. HP printers using UV inks can print on board, wood, acrylic, aluminium, banners and fabric among others and give an outdoor life of up to two years.

"Customers who adopted UV Flatbed printers early on have realised the margin potential that such a product can give as well as a cost saving per square metre.  The fact that you can be more creative with a flatbed printer means you can charge more per square foot and ultimately helps you stand out from your competition.  The proof of this has been the fact that we've seen clients place repeat orders for HP flatbed printers," Panjabi furthered.

Jacky's Gulf FZE, is an authorised HP business partner and provides sales and technical supports for  HP large format, commercial and industrial printers in Gulf countries including UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and Yemen. The company also support customers in Lebanon, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
