Kazim Saher, 4 Cats and Maya Sell Out LG Home Network Music Festival
Three of the hottest acts on the Arabic music scene have practically sold out this year’s LG Home Network Music Festival days before the event. Kazim Al Saher, the 4 Cats and Maya will perform at the AL Bustan Rotana ballroom on the 2nd July to a packed house of over 800 concert-goers.
“The line up for this year’s LG Home Network Music Festival has proved to be the most popular yet,” said Mr. P. C. Choi, President, LG Electronics Gulf FZE.
“Within days of going on sale, sixty percent of the seat allocations were sold and this weekend saw most of the remaining tickets go, so we are going to be a sell out for this year’s event.”
Considered one of the most renowned composers and vocalists in the Middle East, Kazem Al Saher is known to be a perfectionist. Al Saher has been at the forefront of a return to romantic classicism in Arabic music, in addition to reviving interest in traditional Iraqi music and culture.
In the last ten years, Al Saher’s albums have sold over twenty million copies. He is celebrated currently as one of the most popular and critically acclaimed singers in the Arab world.
“He will make a tremendous addition to LG’s roll call of stars that have performed at its music festivals,” said Choi.
Choi added that the draw of established and emerging stars on the Arabic music horizon is a formula that has proved a big success for LG music events.
“The Four Cats, the quartet discovered by Ghassan al-Rahbani, perform traditional Arabic and Lebanese numbers in a contemporary pop style and Maya Al Nasiri is yet another Lebanese star riding the wave of the currently fashionable Arabic music scene,” he said.
“These talented artistes make another attractive addition to the LG Home Network Music Festival line-up.”
The music festival concept has become an integral part of LG’s marketing mix as it seeks to bring the best in contemporary and classic Arab music to the Middle East public.
“LG’s series of music festivals has gained in popularity around the region as more and more people experience the unique atmosphere we create with our events,” said Choi.
“Certainly, if ticket sales are anything to go by, this will prove to be one of the best concerts LG has staged so far.”
Tomorrow night’s music festival is being staged as part of LG’s awareness campaign for its range of home network appliances, recently launched into the region.
“Appliances that connect to each other across a network allowing them to be operated inside and outside the home are the appliances of the future and LG’s home network system will assist in enriching and enhancing everyday lives,” said Choi.
“And I am sure the artistes performing at the LG Home Network Music Festival will enrich and enhance the audience’s lives for a night tomorrow.”
