New independent benchmark shows Fujitsu's Dynamic Infrastructures' cornerstone is fast and cost efficient
Dubai, UAE, August 22, 2010 ― Independent benchmark results published today show that Fujitsu's ETERNUS DX440 is not only the world's fastest* dual controller mid-range disk storage system, but also has the world's best price/performance ratio*. With high-end enterprise features and multi-platform support, the speedy ETERNUS DX440 resolves IT administrators' needs for high-performing storage while also capping costs.
Chandan Mehta, product manager for Fujitsu Technology Solutions says: "Although server performance has increased a million-fold over the last 50 years, disk read-write rates are barely 100 times better - which is why we paid particular attention to maximizing disk performance when designing the ETERNUS DX range. The results speak for themselves. The new world record, in addition to high-end enterprise-class features such as Thin Provisioning and remote replication between mid-range and enterprise systems, makes the ETERNUS DX440 a compelling choice."
Today's data centers have to handle the demands of server virtualization, Cloud computing, growing numbers of users and ever-growing amounts of data that must be stored, backed-up and archived. Unless storage systems are fast enough to cope then performance bottlenecks will occur - which underlines the importance of the Fujitsu ETERNUS DX440's world record performance results.
* As measured by the Storage Performance Council's SPC Benchmark 1 (SPC-1).
