Dubai, 29 March 2010 - Eton Institute, the region's leading training and development institute announced a FREE course in French language for the month of April. The vibrant and maverick language training centre which celebrated its 4th anniversary on March 11th offers a free course every month in a featured language as part of its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiative to promote language and cultural diversity.

Dr. Eli Abi Rached, Director at Eton Institute commented: "The UAE is a melting pot of different cultures and nationalities. While this is a great opportunity to experience all parts of the world in a single country, it also poses challenges in terms of differences in perspectives and culture. Learning a foreign language can really help as it's more than just learning new words and phrases. It's getting a glimpse into the thought-process and way of life of a community. There couldn't be a better time than this to become a Francophone and a Francophile!"

French, one of the most popular languages in the world, has a strong influence worldwide not only for communication but also in literature, music, art, fashion and cuisine. The English language itself has over 50,000 words which have French origins and with an estimated 500 million speakers over all 7 continents, the United Nations reported it the second most spoken second language in the world after English.

Mark Twain, a renowned American author famously remarked: "It has always been a marvel to me--that French language; it has always been a puzzle to me. How beautiful that language is! How expressive it seems to be! How full of grace it is."

The free French course will cover an entire beginner's level and will feature essentials such as greetings, introductions, talking about tastes and hobbies, making an appointment, giving an opinion and making a request. In addition to general French language courses for all levels, Eton Institute have also launched specialized conversational courses and business courses in French which cater to individuals who would like to concentrate on speaking and listening skills and those that require the language specifically for communication in the business environment.
