This is not the first time the Hotel has received such an accolade; it won a place in this category in 2002, just after it opened, and was listed in the award's Top Five Best Resorts in Europe, Middle East and Africa in 2006.

The much coveted awards are the result of a highly-regarded annual readers' poll, taking in the opinions of the most seasoned of travellers.
