A luxury car, gold bars and diamond pieces were awarded to winners

Sharjah: To enhance its regional and local stance within the exhibition industry, Expo Centre Sharjah organized a special ceremony yesterday morning (Tuesday), to celebrate the achievements of the MidEast Watch and Jewellery Exhibition and the Ramadan Nights Exhibition, which collectively attracted more than 170,000 visitors. The two events contributed to boosting vital trade sectors relating to consumer and luxury goods.

The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chairman of Expo Centre Sharjah and HE Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah. The event honored the partners, sponsors and employees who contributed to the success of the two exhibitions. In addition, numerous prizes were distributed among the winning shoppers of the Watch and Jewellery Show’s 43rd edition.

HE Abdullah Sultan Al Owais affirmed Sharjah’s capability to organize and host major exhibitions across all fields, thanks to the facilities, services and competitive value it offers exhibitors, including establishments, companies and business leaders. He added that the significant participation in exhibitions organized by Expo Centre Sharjah contributes to increasing the success of these events as well as generating additional returns that benefit the national economy.

On his part, HE Saif Mohammed Al Midfa thanked all partners, sponsors and employees for their efforts in attaining successes and achievements that have exceeded expectations. These achievements serve to benefit the public and the business community, thanks to the discounts and offers that exhibitions organized by Expo Centre Sharjah provide. Al Midfa added that such initiatives help to support the trade and tourism sector. Additionally, he highlighted the support offered by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry to all exhibitions organized by the centre.

Amidst immense joy, HE Saif Mohammed Al Midfa handed over the keys to a 2017 Mercedes Benz car to Mariam Ismail the winner of the MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show’s grand prize. In addition, several winners received prizes of gold and diamonds, which they had won after shopping at the exhibition. The winners received gold bars weighing 2 kg, diamond rings as well as numerous other luxury prizes of watches and jewelry.

At the end of the ceremony, HE Abdullah Sultan Al Owais and HE Saif Mohammed Al Midfa honored around 60 representatives including partners, sponsors, employees of Expo Centre Sharjah and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who played a pivotal role in organizing these two important exhibitions, on the emirate’s annual exhibition agenda. The representatives were also honored for their active contribution to a significant increase in visitor numbers and sales value at the two exhibitions.
