• 28 global cities in one place compete for the title of “World Government Games City Challenge Champion”

Riyadh: The Saudi Sports for All Federation, representing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, will participate in the fourth edition of the “Government Games which will start in Dubai from 2 to 5 March 2023. It brings together 28 international cities, competing with teams for women and men, in an effort to win the title of “City Challenge Champion for World Government Games.

During the past three tournaments, government games have received a wide local, regional, and global participation of more than 3,000 government employees. The games have also undergone a continuous development process, including the addition of the category of community games to the category of government games during the third season organized last year.

The Saudi Sports for All Federation has formed a qualified sports teams with outstanding skills in international games and tournaments, consisting of 12 players of both sexes, from Riyadh and Jeddah, to participate in the competition as part of a series of physical and mental challenges that bring participants from different countries together in one place. The Saudi team consists of: Abdullah Abdulbasit Abba Fallatah, a crossfit competitor, Abdullah Ghassan Almulhim, a competitor in the sport of Kyokushin karate and crossfit, Ahmed Mohammed Almosabi, the sport of overcoming obstacles, Spartan, Fouad Mashhour Altijani, an archery, martial arts and fitness coach, and Sultan Abdulrahman Alhammad, running and weightlifting Gymnastics, Hamad Mohamed Ozaybi, athletics, triathlon and walking coach, Asmaa Mohsen Bafaqeeh, kickboxing and calisthenics, Turky Yousef Hassan Alaref, winner of the Kingdom Indoor Rowing

Championship, Ahmed Raid Bakshwean, Crossfit, Walaa Ali Alymani, Calesthenics, Esraa Fawzi Hassan Kadri, Basketball and Crossfit, Ahmed Ghazi Alnhde, Crossfit.

The government games competition is a unique initiative in the world. It poses the best, strongest and most challenging in the framework of stimulating exercise and encouraging its adoption as a lifestyle, within an enthusiastic competitive atmosphere that promotes team spirit. The initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of the initiative in 2018, aims to establish the principle of teamwork and team spirit among government employees and enhance cooperation between government agencies and community members.
