Al Abdul Jaleel: The program reflects NBK’s strategy to provide the youth with opportunities for innovation and community service
NBK’s partnership with LOYAC aims to provide a promising future for the ambitious youth looking for success in entrepreneurship
National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) has launched “KONTINUE” social entrepreneurship program in partnership with LOYAC and Babson College, the US-based worldwide leader in entrepreneurship education.
The program was kick-started in a ceremony held at NBK’s Headquarters, which was attended by Loyac’s participants, the mentors, the trainers, the sponsors and the NBK PR team.
The program aims to support the youth between the ages of 17 to 30 by motivating and giving them the opportunity for innovation and creativity, developing their ideas, and transforming them into implementable projects that are beneficial to the society.
The 7-week program includes training sessions, discussions, lectures and workshops provided by leaders from NBK as well as experts from the participating companies and institutions who transfer their knowledge and expertise and give advice to the participants to help them develop their projects.
One of the featured speakers in the program is Dr. Phillip Kim, an internationally recognized expert on entrepreneurship and a professor of Entrepreneurship at Babson College, who will have an intensive week of in-person knowledge transfer sessions with participants.
Speaking on the program, Joanne Al Abdul Jaleel, Senior Public Relations Officer at National Bank of Kuwait, said, “At NBK, we seek to leverage our solid relationships with leading institutions across all sectors, LOYAC being a notable example, to extend all sorts of support to the youth by providing training opportunities that enable them participate in development programs and volunteer projects.”
“We have a strategic partnership with LOYAC, through which we aim to qualify the youth for a thriving career and realizing their ambitions. This is done by upskilling them and enhancing their experience to emerge as economic and business leaders and make the utmost of the delivered training programs,” she added.
Al Abdul Jaleel noted that the program reflects NBK’s strategy to nurture the youth and offer them better opportunities towards broader horizons by supporting their projects that provide practical solutions to some of the society’s problems, whether those related to the environment, health, education or other aspects.
NBK continues its annual humanitarian initiatives and support for social welfare programs in line with its unwavering commitment to deliver on its social responsibilities and firm belief in the powerful impact of these programs in serving the society and people, as well as in reflecting its leading role in this field over long decades.
LOYAC is a nonprofit organization that runs several programs for the youth to develop their professional skills, enhance their personal growth and help them find their sense of purpose by extending themselves to others.
