The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) hosted the coordination meeting for supporting the national economy in Ajman, in the presence of the federal and local government entities concerned with economic affairs in Ajman. This Meeting aims to enhance joint cooperation to develop Ajman's economy, increase its investment attractiveness, provide services that keep pace with the rapid growth of private sector establishments, and increase the GDP of the emirate of Ajman.

The Meeting was chaired by H.E. Abdullah Al Muwaji, Chairman of the Ajman Chamber, in the presence of H.E. Brigadier Mohamed Abdullah Alwan, Executive Director of the General Directorate for Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Ajman, H.E. Salem Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the Ajman Chamber, H.E. Eng. Omar Bin Omair Al Muhairi, Director General of the Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation, and H.E. Ismail Al Naqi, Director-General of the Free Zones Authority in Ajman.

The Meeting was also attended by a number of officials of the Ajman Chamber, the Department of Economic Development in Ajman (Ajman DED), the Free Zones Authority in Ajman, the Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD), the Department of Lands and Real Estate Regulation, and the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP).

At the beginning of the Meeting, H,E. Abdullah Al Muwaiji welcomed the attendees and praised the existing partnerships between the federal and local government entities in Ajman to provide a sustainable business environment and proactive services that keep pace with and exceed the expectations of the business community in Ajman. He also stressed the importance of the Meeting and its role in providing a platform for exchanging visions and viewpoints to deal with challenges and discussing sustainable solutions for it to ensure the provision of an attractive economic and investment environment that enhances the sustainable development process of the emirate and the country in general, and is in line with the declaration of H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, may Allah protect him, that 2023 is the "Year of Sustainability" in the UAE.

The Meeting also discussed the cooperation opportunities to enhance investment attractiveness in Ajman and diversify the available opportunities in various fields "industrial, commercial, service, tourism, infrastructure, and other sectors" through the development of services for ease of doing business, in addition to discussing the most prominent challenges and best ways to address them.

The Meeting recommended the formation of a specialized committee that includes members from all local and federal government entities concerned with economic affairs in Ajman, with the aim of holding periodic meetings to discuss developments and changes in the economic sector and to propose proactive policies and procedures that facilitate doing business It also recommended to implement studies and research supporting the national economy and the growth of private sector enterprises in Ajman and attract capital.

The committee also aims to increase the volume of exports of local products by enhancing the effectiveness of communication and cooperation with new global markets, increasing the attraction of direct investments, especially in the industrial field, and promoting the best local and international practices among the business community in Ajman, especially those that rely on technology and artificial intelligence (AI), in line with the new economic model of UAE, which is based on flexibility, participatory, and sustainability.
