Dubai, October 30, 2012: Energizer recently launched a major initiative that changes the way the global leader in portable power engages consumers, and works together to make a positive difference in the world. The campaign, "That's Positivenergy", supports Energizer's efforts to set a new course for the next generation of portable power through a continued commitment towards creating long lasting batteries with zero mercury.

'That's Positiveenergy' campaign organized the first activity - Energizer Light Races - across malls in the GCC and Lebanon. The activity received a high and positive engagement from audiences across the region and helped generate light hours which were donated to parts of the world lacking in power resources. 

The platform will be supported via a global campaign comprising television, print, online & social networking efforts, and special events. The foundation of the new platform combines performance plus responsibility, and demonstrates Energizer's long-standing commitment to responsible power, and serving the community.

The Energizer Light Race for a Brighter World

The new platform extends beyond advertising to include a series of Energizer race events. Complementing Energizer Night Races around the world, Energizer Middle East & Africa created an augmented reality game, which encourages mall shoppers in UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia to participate in the cause and generate 11 million hours of light for people living in countries where there is no electricity, helping to create safer and more fulfilling, work and home environments. 

More than 15,000 people visited the stands and participated in the game in their own ways, thereby showing their support to the cause.
