Dubai, UAE: Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the world's largest district cooling services provider, has revealed its multiple e-services that facilitate over 100,000 customers to make their transactions more comfort and fast. These transactions include timely bill payments and also it allows customers to plan their payments in advance for the whole year that helps to avoid accumulation of invoices and, thus, service interruption, which obligates them to pay additional fee for interruption. This is part of Empower’s ongoing efforts to reduce energy consumption, and contribute to the implementation of the Dubai Paperless Strategy.
Empower is on its way to achieve this common goal by developing its e-services, that allows customers to pay their bills, access past invoices, register with Empower’s services and view consumption rates online. Empower has also introduced an online calculator in its website to help customers to monitor and plan their district cooling consumption. In addition, Empower strengthened its partnerships with financial and banking organisations to enable customers to view and pay their bills through the smart services offered by these entities. Following a successful partnership with Emirates NBD and Al Ansari Exchange, Empower has signed a new partnership with Noor Bank to enable the customers who have accounts or credit cards with Noor Bank to pay their bills without visiting Empower’s branches, through Noor Bank’s website or smart application, without any extra charge.
“Empower works according to a strategy of reducing energy consumption by taking several measures, mainly increasing energy efficiency to contribute to rationalisation, reducing operational costs, improving competitiveness, and developing e-services for customers to help them to plan an optimal energy consumption. This comes under the directives of Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, who announced that Dubai will be the most sustainable city in the world by implementing the Demand Side Management Strategy, which aims to reduce energy consumption in Dubai by 30% by 2030, and the UAE Energy Strategy, aimed at improving energy efficiency by 40%, and reducing carbon footprint of power generation by 70% by 2050 ,” said Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower.
Empower has more than 1,090 buildings that are using district cooling services, catering to more than 100,000 customers. The company operates more than 1.43 Million Refrigeration Tonnes (RT), providing environmentally friendly district cooling services to large-scale real estate developments, such as Bluewaters, Jumeirah Group, Business Bay, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai International Financial Centre, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Ibn Battuta Mall, Discovery Gardens, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai World Trade Centre Residences and Dubai Design District, amongst others.
