UAE - Sharjah, 1st March, 2012: As part of the bank's efforts to attract, train and retain UAE National talent, Emirates NBD, the leading bank in the field of Emiratisation, participated at Sharjah Career Fair 2012 Recruitment Show which took place at Sharjah- EXPO and was held under the patronage of H. H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
During the show, Emirates NBD received a remarkable number of applicants, where more than 339 UAE Nationals submitted applications to join the bank. This reflects a positive demand and a keen interest from young UAE Nationals to join the banking field. The applications covered the various educational and training programs offered by Emirates NBD, where 127 applications were received for PAL program, (Program for Accelerated Learning) which provides University Graduates with Management Training and qualifies them to join the bank as Managers and Assistant Managers in branches and departments. In addition, 77 applications were received for Al Shehab (program for diploma graduate), designed to create a pool of talented UAE Nationals qualified to become Head Tellers/ Team Leaders/ Supervisors. Moreover, 135 applications were received for Al Misha'al (program for high school graduates) which qualifies UAE Nationals to perform as Teller, Customer Service and processors role activities within the bank.
Emirates NBD has adopted an ambitious Emiratisation strategy built on supporting and participating in the various initiatives and events across the UAE. In this context, Emirates NBD continuously participates in the various career fairs and works closely with TANMIA, Zayed University and the Higher Colleges of Technology and the various Emiratisation organizations to identify potential talent.
Emirates NBD considers Emiratisation a priority issue and continuously creates career opportunities to attract and retain UAE National talent.
