The Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has formed a temporary administrative support team to work during the Eid al-Adha holiday to provide and facilitate all the special needs of users of various services, drivers and taxi fleet as well.

Mr. Ahmad Mohammad Al Hammadi, Acting CEO of Dubai Taxi said: The Corporation formed the Administrative Support Team, which includes representatives from various administrative and service departments in the context of its keenness to follow up the progress of work and tasks in various positions on a daily basis, and to provide the best services according to the highest standards of quality and excellence. It is keen also to intensify its service during various events, holidays and public holidays and to respond to inquiries throughout the period of the holiday, in order to submit a final outputs, results and recommendations report that will be studied for improvement in the future.

He added: The Corporation will continue to provide its services during the mentioned holiday through this team which was formed to ensure the availability of vehicles at Dubai airports and Dubai Metro stations in addition to various places and centers in the Emirate. It will also follow-up other tasks related to the operation, maintenance, washing of taxis and any upholstery work, and follow-up on procedures related to road accidents and traffic violations, renewal and acquisition of vehicles and the provision of logistic support and following up on complaints, lost items and suggestions, as well as drivers services such as delivery and receipt of passports of drivers in case of emergency, sick and annual leaves, drivers training and monitoring the behavior of drivers and their work on a daily basis, in addition to coordination with the emergency and crisis management team at the Corporation and the Traffic Movement Management team and dealing with the operational plans during the period of official events and annual events along with the preparation of the necessary daily reports.

Al Hammadi continued saying: The Operations and Fleet Management Department at the Corporation set alternative plans according to the nature of the services, including a plan to support Dubai Airports, Dubai Mall and various events in the Emirate in coordination with the various agencies in addition to cleaning and maintenance of vehicles plan.

He stressed the readiness of the Corporation to receive and follow-up daily drivers requests, as well as requests of customer for taxi services during the Eid and beyond through continuously providing different residential areas and shopping centers scattered in the Emirate of Dubai, the Dubai Metro stations, Dubai Airports, hospitals, streets, in addition to booking requests and distribution by dialing the telephone number: 04-2080808.

He called on the public and visitors to cooperate with Dubai Taxi Corporation by upholding personal belongings in case they use taxis as part of its initiative "Remember" to lower the percentage of loss reports and raise the delivery of findings for customers, and request for the invoice before disembarking from the vehicle cab for the importance of data available there including vehicle taxis side number, number of the driver and the cost of the trip, day, date and time so we can follow up in case of any report is being submitted.
