Dubai, UAE - Continually making efforts to improve upon the services it offers, du has expanded the Arabic library available through its Video On Demand service, a popular feature among du TV's customers, by joining hands with entertainment company Rotana.

Through this tie-up, du TV customers will have access to Arabic music and almost 200 additional Arabic-language movies, ranging from much-loved classics to the latest releases, such as Assal Eswed, Samir w Shahir w Bahir and Nour Einy, all of which can be enjoyed through du's Video On Demand service.  This is the first and biggest video on demand deal in the region, delivering  high quality, variety and, most of all, absolute viewing convenience to du TV viewers, in line with the telecommunications company's commitment to providing the best to its customers.

Arabic film fans will have their viewing experience enhanced with the convenient features offered by Video on Demand, which allows viewers to watch movies whenever they want and then pause, rewind and fast forward as they please.

Classic movies will be shown in the Subscription window, where customers can watch as many titles as they wish for a minimal monthly fee. Some titles will be made available to du TV Customers at no extra cost through its new On Demand Club, while other titles can be rented from as little as AED7 for 48 hours.

In addition to the above-mentioned initiatives, du is running several Ramadan activities throughout the month of August.

-          du's Mawaed Al Rahman (Iftar tents) provide free, nutritious Iftar meals to the less fortunate in Dubai, Sharjah and  Abu Dhabi. These will distribute 80,000 meals funded by the telecommunications company and with donations from du employees.

Customers can subscribe to this service for just AED5 per week. In addition, customers can opt to receive free Qur'an recitations from top Sheikhs.
