Dubai municipality has recently won the award for the best strategic website award in the category of municipality websites provided by Internet Academy Awards in the Arab region, which is a prestigious technical award in the field of IT.
Obaid Salim Al Shamsi and Mohammed Abdul Karim Julfar, Assistant Director Generals of Dubai Municipality received the award in the presence municipal officials from different GCC and Arab countries in addition to the representatives of public organisations in the country.
'The civic body is always keen to offer its services in the best from using the available advanced technology,' Julfar said having received the award.
'The web portal of municipality has received many other significant awards previously in the international level such as UN Award for the best e-Government in 2006 and Dubai Excellence Award for outstanding e-department, he said.
'DM portal focuses on easy access for the general public, providing accurate information, connection and integration between information and services,' he added.
