Food control department of Dubai Municipality has taken initiative to meet with the approved voluntary training and food organisations on Sunday in Dubai Municipality Club.
The initiative is aimed at educating about the method of executing the annual programme for the food safety awareness and covering the different categories of the general public in the emirate of Dubai.
A presentation was given on the awareness programme executed by the department identifying the target groups, used methods, results of previously executed events along with requirements to be followed up. The hotline of municipality 800900 was also introduced to the participants.
'Through this kind of meetings the civic body seeks to obtain positive results in corporation with these organisations in providing information and services required to promote the community awareness,' Khalid Mohammed Sherif, Director of Food Control Department said.
The meeting also included an open discussion session, in which all participants effectively contributed and offered the support for the entire initiatives of the municipality in the field of food safety awareness.
