20 January 2013

Doha, Qatar - Building design gurus, construction planning, strategy virtuosos and trend-setting architects will meet once again in Doha for the fifth edition of the Façade Design and Engineering Middle East Summit to be held from 25-26 February 2013 at the InterContinental Doha.

The two-day event takes place at a time when newly-introduced legislative changes to building code in Qatar are set to confluence with Doha's status of a fertile breeding ground for cutting-edge architecture. Featuring a kaleidoscope of conference sessions, case studies, technology updates, and networking, this annual summit is a great opportunity for experts to gain insight about the increasing innovations within the construction and architectural industry

Kicking off the Summit will be the hugely-anticipated presentation by Dan Meis, who's Sports City Stadium in Doha was part of Qatar's 2022 FIFA World Cup winning bid, and who will talk about integrating technology with architecture, designing stadiums with a national identity, and complying with local regulations in a presentation titled 'Designing futuristic sports structures in preparations for the FIFA World CUP™ 2022'.

Further presentations and case studies will circumvent a broad canvas of key topics; energy-efficient façade designs, acoustic performance of facades, façade lighting designs and media facades, green building practices in façade architecture, eco façade engineering, and more.

"The 5th Annual Façade Design and Engineering Middle East Summit is a not-to-be-missed event for any building design and engineering industry representative, whether a new entrant or veteran. The bigger and expanded 2013 edition reinforces its identity as an event that forms the ultimate façade for an industry whose exterior is ready to develop even more in 2013 and years ahead," said Tanya Sydorenko, Senior Conference Director, IQPC.

New for the latest edition of the 5th Annual Façade Design and Engineering Middle East Summit is more than 20 hours of networking opportunities and a V.I.P. networking cocktail reception among other highlights.

The fifth edition of the annual Façade Design and Engineering Middle East Summit is supported by Eco Façade (Lead Sponsor), besam, Agglotech, Aurubis (Partners), Foamglas, Du Pont SentryGlas (Associate Sponsors), Bahrain Prism Glass Factory, Dow Corning, Alumil Aluminium (Exhibitors), the Italian-Qatari Business Council and Scandinavian Business Council Qatar (Partners), Ventures ONSITE, CMguide.org, Construction1.com, Construction Sites, Qatar Projects Magazine, WhyQatar Magazine, and BNC (Media Partners).
