The Bahrain Meditation Centre for Self-Development is organizing its 'Second International Meditation & Self-Empowerment Conference', aimed at assisting and empowering professionals and individuals in tapping their inner resources, and in making powerful, positive transformation in their lives.
The event is titled 'Awakening Your Inner Power & Potential' and will be held at the the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre in Manama, from 18th to 21st April 2012 under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Khalid Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, Kingdom of Bahrain.
As more and more people are discovering that a regular practice of meditation is a foundation for a greater sense of inner calm and stability, the conference aims to make the theory and the practice of meditation simple and accessible to professionals and individuals.
The event is open for organizations, companies, professionals, as well as individuals looking to enhance or establish more efficiency and effectiveness at work and enhance performance and relationships among colleagues.
Health professionals and individuals seeking to tap as well the method of meditation to improve health, lower stress levels and strengthen their emotional health will be able to benefit from the conference.
Dr. Ebrahim Al Dossary, Assistant Undersecretary at the Prime Minister's Court and is also the President of the Bahrain Meditation Centre noted, "We pride ourselves that the Bahrain Meditation Centre was the first in the Middle East to host an International Meditation and Self Development Conference in 2011, which was a huge success with over 500 delegates attending from over 20 countries over the three days. In this year's Conference we will again feature presenters and speakers from all over the world who are not only experts in the meditation, but who are also practical examples of the wisdom that they teach."
The keynote speaker for the event is Dadi Janki, internationally acknowledged as a great teacher, leader, meditator and mentor. For more than seven decades she has dedicated her life to serving humanity, crossing all barriers of race, religion and creed. At the age of 96, Dadi still maintains a demanding touring and lecture schedule. In 2004, she was awarded the Medal of Independence by His Majesty, the King of Jordan for her humanitarian work.
Other speakers are also renowned in their fields of experience in business, science and technology as well as unique organisational management. BK Jayanti is an emissary for peace, a broadcaster and author who conveys her messages with a unique blend of Eastern wisdom and Western pragmatism. BK Jayanti is the European and Middle East Director for the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University in London, and its' non-governmental representative to the United Nations.
Nizar Juma, an entrepreneur, adventurer, humanitarian and spiritual seeker and is best known for the manufacture of Adidas Sports equipment. He is currently Chairman of the Board for over fifty three companies, which include some in a voluntary capacity for The Aga Khan Development Network in their not-for-profit hospitals and in their development activities in power generation, fiber optics, agriculture, banking, hotels, pharmaceuticals and insurance. Juma is also a founder member of the World Business Academy.
Caroline Ward, an Australian living in Latin America, is an early pioneer in bringing spiritual intelligence and the arts to business in Australia. Her management consultancy 'About People' specialised in the people sideof organisational transformation. She is the author of two books: 'The Four Faces of Woman' based on 15 years of working with women in over 30 countries and 'Mi Coraje Tu Coraje' (My Courage, Your Courage) which exposes how stories of courage can change a culture.
Anthony Strano has been a student and teacher of the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University for the last 35 years, and is the Director for meditation centres in Greece, Hungary and Turkey. Anthony is an author, educator, speaker and broadcaster. He has written seven books on values, self-development and spirituality, as well as numerous articles.
Golden Trust Event Management are the event managers for the conference.
Registration for the event is at minimal BD55 or USD$145. The fee includes entry to all plenary and breakout/workshop sessions for all three days. It also includes a conference package, all handout materials, a conference gift, certificate of participation, tea and lunch break.
Conference delegates are warmly invited to the opening ceremony on Wednesday 18th April at 7pm.
Student Discount: University students are eligible for a discount on the registration fee i.e 30BD or 80$. To qualify, each student must submit a copy of their student ID.
