Jeddah, Saudi Arabia Abdul Latif Jameel Motors is proud to announce its appointment to sponsor the 2023 season of ROOKIE Racing, privately owned by the Chairman of Toyota Motor Corporation, Akio Toyoda. As one of the selective overseas sponsors, Abdul Latif Jameel Motors’ appointment is an exciting milestone for mutual growth and success in the motorsports industry – extending an arm from Saudi Arabia globally.
Now more than ever, Abdul Latif Jameel Motors recognizes the value it will bring to support the team’s passion, ambition, and potential in the world of motorsports. The thrill of competition and the desire to constantly improve is what drives the team to achieve greatness, and Abdul Latif Jameel Motors is committed to providing them with the resources and support they need to continue pursuing their passion.
In 2021, the ROOKIE Racing team made a bold statement at the Super Taikyu (Endurance) Race held at the Fuji Speedway for the second time. The team participated with a GR Corolla equipped with a hydrogen-powered engine and completed the grueling 24-hour endurance race for the first time. This impressive feat demonstrated ROOKIE Racing’s commitment to exploring technologies and showcasing alternatives to tackle carbon neutrality in the motorsports industry.
The ROOKIE Racing team continues participating in the “Super Taikyu Series 2023” with its hydrogen-powered engine and carbon-neutral fuel vehicles to showcase the significant step forward in promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly practices in motorsports. It is a clear message to the industry and fans alike that it is possible to race while being environmentally conscious. ROOKIE Racing is driven to make ever-better cars originating from motorsports – exemplifying Akio Toyoda’s saying, “leaving no car lover behind.”
