Clyde & Co has announced the promotion of three partners from the firm's Middle East offices:
Abhi Jalan (Dubai) Corporate Finance/ Capital Markets - Senior Equity partner
Abhi is head of the firm's Indian sub-continent practice. Qualified to practice law in England, India and Canada, Abhi has worked on numerous significant cross-border corporate and banking transactions for both private and public companies. He has represented and advised Fortune 500 clients, Indian government entities and Indian business conglomerates in connection with corporate and corporate finance transactions including high profile tender offers, public offerings and projects.
Niall O'Toole (Abu Dhabi) Corporate: Commercial, Energy - Senior Equity partner
Niall heads up the firm's operations in Abu Dhabi. Qualified in three jurisdictions, he has considerable experience in a broad range of matters including corporate/M&A, energy, aviation, defence and international transactions. Niall routinely advises local and international companies in connection with the establishment, maintenance and termination of Abu Dhabi joint ventures, as well as corporate acquisitions and disposals and in connection with local regulatory requirements and developments.
Philip O'Riordan (Dubai) Corporate/Commercial - Equity partner
Philip qualified as a solicitor in 1995 and was a partner in a leading regional law firm in the UK before joining Clyde & Co's Dubai office in 2003. He has extensive experience in local and international corporate and commercial transactions. Philip has advised companies listed on the official list of the London Stock Exchange and multinational corporations on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters including IPOs, private equity fund raisings, mergers and acquisitions, management buy-outs, management buy-ins, joint ventures and other commercial arrangements. Philip has presented a number of seminars to corporate clients and led a series of workshops on corporate insurance issues in the UAE and the DIFC.
Clyde & Co continues to dominate the legal market in the Middle East with the largest International law firm office in the region. The firm now has a total of 12 partners in their Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices following the promotion of Philip O'Riordan and the recent transfers of Brian Nash and Catherine Moss.
