Amman, Jordan, 28 March 2013: United Electronics Co, Canon Middle East's exclusive distributor in Jordan and Ketab Technologies has further cemented its market leadership with a deal to provide total solution through the new range of LV Advance and Ultra Short throw projectors targeting educational sector in the Kingdom. Following the extension of a strategic partnership announcement signed last year, the latest contract win has enabled Canon, the leader in imaging solutions to continue to surge in the Jordanian educational sector.
"Through our partnership with Ketab Technologies, we have grown and made an impact with the Kingdom's thriving educational community. We still see a lot of potential in the education market for the Ultra Short Throw (UST) range as it can be a handy tool for engaging students within the learning environment. The LV-8235UST and Ketab interactive boards continue to be a winning combination without compromising on the output, offering cost effective solutions for educational institutions," said Hendrik Verbrugghe, Marketing Director, Canon Middle East.
The LV Advance range and LV-8235 UST was selected by Ketab Technologies as the device of choice as its ideal for use with interactive whiteboards, popular in the education sector. The device also known for its Colour Correct Function allows natural colours to be reproduced, even when projecting onto a coloured surface or blackboard. In addition, a high contrast ratio of 2000:1 also allows the device to produce deep blacks and vivid images.
"Jordan's education sector is evolving with the latest technologies and educational aid being demanded by the education supplies segment. The UST multimedia projectors deliver exciting new capabilities to the diverse and dynamic presentation market, especially within the education sector. The Canon LV range segmented into advance, medium and standard offers high connectivity and great value for money, making it the ideal choice for educational institutions. With this strategic extension of our partnership, we are reaffirming our commitment to the educational supplies business in Jordan," said Kamal Haddad, B2C Sales Manager, United Electronics Co.
Particularly beneficial to education environment is the device's close proximity to the screen which ensures that limited shadows are cast and that light does not shine in a presenter's eyes. The built-in 10W speaker is loud enough to be heard in classrooms, without the need for an external audio system, while the 3000 hours lamp life (in Eco mode) means that minimum maintenance is required, and total ownership costs are kept down.
