Six-country roadshow to explain benefits and pitfalls of ITIL

February 17, 2013, Dubai: CA MENA today announced that it will hold a series of ITIL-related roundtables and executive workshops in March, with over 500 attendees expected inseven cities across the UAE,Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia.

The seminars will provide a big picture of the uses for ITIL and related good practices. Lessons from history will be presented to show how and why automation can be sensibly deployed to assist in modernization of infrastructure and operations. The seminars will also cover practices, both good and bad, to help attendees avoid common mistakes.

ITIL expert and author Brian Johnson from CA Technologies explained, "ITIL has become a global business, though the guidance and methods that are useful have been misinterpreted through lenses that focus on specific issues of technology, or training, or designing a process rather than the reason for the creation of the ITIL framework in the first place--improving the service provided by infrastructure and operations people to those that consume IT services."

The seminars will also feature the latest version of CA Service Desk Manager, which expands on a rich foundation for IT service management with improvements in mobility, visualization, access, automation and pre-packaged process flows, as well as enhanced administrative efficiency and more effective change management control.
