'We have students in the 25 to 45 year age group, Emirati nationals and others of Gulf and Middle Eastern, Asian and European nationalities living across the Emirates in our first cohort of students. They have been progressing through their studies whilst being in full time employment and a few have come to Glasgow this past year to take elective units' Dr Ennis commented. He went on to add that his fellow colleagues coming to the UAE to teach have thoroughly enjoyed the teaching classes and the UAE.

The Department of Marketing of Strathclyde Business School is one of the largest in Europe.

Karen Liverio, marketing executive in her 2nd year of study with Strathclyde Business School at the Dubai campus said  'Studying the Masters in Marketing at the University of Strathclyde has enhanced my confidence to move ahead in marketing'.

George Bekhazi, currently employed in the HR and Personnel functions of a multi national company is enrolled in the Strathclyde Masters in Marketing seeking a change in career. 'The programme is cotemporary, and has been challenging and fun' he commented.

Ranjit Gajendra, Regional Manager, Strathclyde Business School, explains this to be a better time to embark on further studies and professional development as a number of industry sectors and organisations had 'slowed down' in the UAE as a result of the global economic conditions.
