The Bahraini youth-driven humanitarian organization Ayadi Relief, proudly announced the 5th edition of its annual food festival ‘STREAT’, which is being hosted at the seafront Dilmunia Island, Muharraq. And for the first time since its inception, STREAT will be held over two weekends starting 27th to 29th of February and 5th to 7th of March 2020.
This year’s edition is expected to be bigger and better, bringing together over 50 unique food vendors from across Bahrain, offering mouth-watering food options suitable for all palettes, along with a number of programs and live stage entertainment. The festival activities are scheduled to take place on Thursday 27th of February and 5th of March from 4pm to 11pm and on Friday and Saturday 28th-29th Feb and 6th-7th March from 2pm to 11pm.
Commenting on this occasion, Chairman of the Board of Ayadi Relief Noora Ali said, “We have always been keen on presenting new and innovative ideas in regards to giving back and encouraging community partnerships. Therefore, we initially established STREAT to raise funds to support Ayadi Relief’s charitable projects, which is our primary goal. Following the success witnessed over the past few years, we felt that we should extend the festival to two weekends this year and we are happy to announce the 5th edition. We look forward to welcoming visitors who will contribute to supporting the organization with the proceeds fully going to support Baitkum Baitna, another successful initiative by Ayadi Relief that focuses on renovating homes of families in needs in the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
Since its inception in 2016, STREAT has raised funds that were 100% contributed to supporting the organization. This year’s edition will host Ayadi Lounge where guests will have the opportunity to interact with Ayadi members to learn more about their projects and how they can volunteer, and Ayadi Shop which will introduce exclusive products with 100% of the proceeds supporting the organization.
