Cairo: Now that everyone has stocked up on essentials to get them through the COVID-19 pandemic, some have started to think about other products.
While essential purchases continue to dominate consumer spending, it's clear to see that online beauty sales are trending upwards.
Avon took the opportunity and partnered with Otlob to offer a wide selection of beauty products with an easy and safe delivery process while maintaining social distancing.
Otlob, Egypt's leading food delivery platform, had recently launched several new verticals besides food delivery. Earlier this month, Otlob announced the launch of the groceries vertical and partnered with major supermarkets in the country.

Otlob offers a simple ordering process. Place your order online, reserve a contactless delivery option, and the order will be delivered within the hour. A wide variety of the Avon range will be available, especially a wide selection of personal detergents, soaps, showergels, skincare products and fragrances to meet the consumer needs of this period. For the time being, Avon products are available in limited areas in Cairo and Alexandria, but sooner Otlob will deliver to the rest of the country.

As for the safety measures, both companies guarantee the implementation of appropriate combinations of administrative controls, safe work practices, and personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent worker exposures. Both apply to all regulations and guidelines from the World Health Organization and local public health authorities for COVID-19 also train workers on elements of infection prevention, including PPE.
